By downloading, installing, or using WealthPlan SA ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and End User Licence Agreement (together, "these Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
WealthPlan SA is a personal financial planning and educational tool. It provides calculators, projections, and organisational tools relating to wealth, retirement, insurance, estate planning, and tax based on figures and information you enter.
WealthPlan SA and its developer(s) are not an authorised Financial Services Provider under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (FAIS), and are not licensed or regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA). Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on a personal device for your own personal, non-commercial use (or, in the case of Adviser Mode, your own professional practice, subject to Section 9 below).
You may not: copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; redistribute, resell, sublicence, rent, or lease the App; remove or alter any proprietary notices; or use the App to build a competing product or service.
The App, including its name, logo, design, calculations, content, and underlying code, is the intellectual property of [Insert your name or company name] and is protected by South African and international copyright and trademark law. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
All financial information you enter into the App is stored locally on your own device. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any information you enter, and for safeguarding access to your device. See our Privacy Policy for further detail on how information is handled, including the optional features described in Section 6 below.
The App includes certain optional features that work differently from its core planning tools, as follows:
Ask AI sends your questions to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. This feature is for general educational purposes only, does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are responsible for what you choose to type into this feature.
Backup & Restore allows you to create and share a file containing your own data. You are solely responsible for how, where, and with whom you share any backup file you create.
Family Emergency Access allows you to voluntarily share a separate PIN with a third party of your choosing. You are solely responsible for who you share this PIN with and any consequences of that decision.
Referral Program: any referral codes, bonuses, or free access periods offered through the App's referral feature are provided at our discretion, may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time, and have no cash value.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Calculations, scores, and projections are estimates based on the information you provide and general assumptions or rules of thumb. They do not account for your full personal circumstances and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified, licensed financial adviser, attorney, or tax practitioner. Tax rates, thresholds, and rebates referenced in the App are based on rules in effect at the time of the relevant SARS Budget Speech and may not reflect subsequent changes until the App is updated.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, [Insert your name or company name] shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or financial loss, arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App, including any decision made or action taken based on information or calculations provided by the App, or any consequence arising from your use of the optional features described in Section 6.
Your use of the App, and any decisions you make based on it, are entirely at your own risk.
If you use the App's optional Adviser Mode to enter or store information belonging to your own clients, you confirm that you are authorised to do so, and that you have obtained any consent, and hold any lawful basis, required under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) or other applicable law to collect and process that information. You are solely responsible for your compliance with FAIS, POPIA, and any other regulatory obligations applicable to your practice, independently of your use of this App.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, or any features within it, at any time and without notice. We do not guarantee that the App will be free of errors, available at all times, or compatible with all devices or operating system versions.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
